If you are just starting out as a newbie blogger with the number of blogging resources out there, it can easily be overwhelming. Don’t do the mistake that many new bloggers do, after reading ‘how to start a blog and make six figures’ you actually expect to make six figures in a few months. Is not going to happen, and I won’t sugar coat it BLOGGING IS HARD. To become a successful blogger it takes time and you have invested your money wisely. Choose and invest your money on blogging resources that will work for your niche. I learned the hard way if you don’t have all the right tools and resources your blog will fail and you won’t be able to get your content for people to read.
I compiled a simple list of blogging, products, and services that I use and found to be valuable in growing a successful blog and business.
Subscribe to my Newsletter and get access to my Ultimate Resource Library and Free download the Ultimate Affiliate Program for Beginners. In my library I compiled encompassing list of every tools I use for my blog and some I highly recommend, especially when you are just starting out.
Learning how to set up a blog is super, but the most important step before going forward and investing is to find your blog niche. This is the MOST important step in starting a blog. Once you choose your niche, knowing what you want to share with an audience and how you are going to help them, you’ll have a much easier time creating content around it and helping the people you want to help.
This is the #1, hosting that offers all-in-once. Wp Engine now owns StudioPress (creator of Genesis Framework). With the merger, all WP Engine plan include StudioPress themes and the Genesis Framework.
Siteground is my number one recommendation for beginners when it comes to WordPress Hosting. They are affordable and you don’t need to be a techie with codes because their customer service is amazing and they help you 24/07.
Elegant Themes, are the master behind the DIVI, WordPress themes with the drag & drop. Divi is more than just a theme, it’s a website building framework that makes it possible to design beautiful websites without ever touching a single line of code and without installing and configuring dozens of disjointed plugins.
It’s very important to begin growing your email list as soon as possible. Many new bloggers make the mistake of putting it off and it’s a NO-NO. MailerLite is your best bet for creating and maintaining your email list when you are starting out. Many new bloggers start with MailChimp (I was one of them). But I have to be honest, I struggled with the platform. For me, it was confusing, and didn’t like that you can’t do automation with the free plan.
MailerLite has a free plan that you can get up to 1,000 subscribers. This is perfect when you are first starting out, because it includes full access to the most important features, including automation, subscribes forms, landing pages, and more. MailerLite allows you to create landing pages at no cost.

Canva is an amazing tool to create beautiful engaging images, graphics, text overlays, and even edit photos. No need for expensive software Canva it’s very user friendly. No need to have design skills and makes creating graphics for your posts a cinch. Canva has a huge selection of pre-made templates you can design to get you started, they have the right social share size.
Creative Market is a digital resource marketplace with the best source of quality graphics available. They have design content in a variety of different categories including photos, templates, graphics, themes, fonts, and more. You can purchase pre-made design assets that you can apply directly to your website, social media platform or you can purchase design such as fonts or icons that you can then add to other designs and customize further. I love their download freebies from Free Goods of the Week every Monday. As a new blogger, realizing how much you have to do can get quite overwhelming but Creative Market is the best place to buy Instagram templates for both posts and stories.
Tailwind is a tool as a new blogger you must invest in. Tailwind is a pin scheduler, approved by Pinterest. You schedule your pins when you want them to post and then it schedules and pins them for you. What I love about Tailwind, is Tailwind Tribes, where you can collaborate with other Tailwind users in your niche and share pins, get exposure, and grow your blog.
Tailwind also offers an Instagram Scheduler as well, How amazing is that. You can add links to Instagram Post without having a large following for the swipe up. You can make Instagram posts from your Tailwind account, schedule your posts, use their handy Hashtag Finder.
Plann is an Instagram app to schedule your Instagram post and stories. It’s very easy to use and navigate and very straight forward to use. They have a free plan and a paid plan. In the free plan, you can add one Instagram account 30 post/month. What is not to love about this app, you are able to retouch and resize images, you can use borders, text, and stickers. You can save hashtags, for your post and you can add your Dropbox and google drive account, that’s a plus.
The only Cons is that you cannot auto-publish to Instagram, they are aware of this and they are working on it. But overall this I love this Instagram scheduler.
All of these tools have helped me gain traffic back to my blog stay organized and consistent on my blog post. But if you want more subscribe to get access to my library and get a free affiliated download. Let me know what service worked for you. Love to hear all about it, leave a comment below.
