A few years after my pregnancy I realized how much my vellus facial hair (Peach-Fuzz) has grown tremendously. When I applied makeup was where I would see the peach fuzz the most. As all woman experience this alarmingly and distressing issue behind closed doors, just knows you are not alone. I started to look for a safe way to get rid of them and in my depth-research, I stumbled upon Dermaplaning. I’m going to share a skincare treatment that will get rid of vellus facial hair (peach fuzz) and will have your skin smooth and glowing. That brings me to today’s post, on 7 changes that’ll make a difference Dermaplaning your skin.
What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a safe noninvasive exfoliating procedure that removes dead skin and vellus hair (peach fuzz) from face and neck. This treatment is administered by an esthetician using a sterile scalpel. The esthetician gently strokes the surface of the skin to remove the dead skin cells and hairs, is like shaving your face.
Many women express concerns the facts that a sterile scalpel is used to shave the hair off, and not a razor. Using a razor doesn’t do the same, and you shouldn’t use it either. This method is safe and painless as it shaves off the dead skin off your face for better and deeper exfoliating results.

My Experience
So, in my depth-research looking for a place, where they offered dermaplaning, I came across TS Skin Clinic Spa. I checked out their reviews and they were five stars, that’s all I needed to book an appointment. Although I was a bit hesitant to have an esthetician shave my face I was willing to try something new. I received the Dermaplaning in exchange for a review and the products at a discount price.
At the time of booking, I was told to make sure my face was clean with no makeup. When I arrived, I was greeted by Italia and the esthetician, Josey. From the moment you step foot into the spa, you feel the tranquility and that’s a plus. The place is super clean and beautiful. I’ve been to a spa, that I’ve literally walked right out because they looked dirty and I didn’t felt comfortable.
The esthetician escorted me to the room and made sure I was comfortable. She began to prep my face by cleansing it with a cleanser and cotton pad to make sure I was dirt and makeup-free. At first, I was a bit hesitant to try this treatment and products on my skin since I have sensitive skin. I did express my concerns to Josey and she was very knowledgeable about my skin type and the nature of beauty. She took a closer look at my face and explained the condition of my skin. She recommended a few tips and products that I should use in my daily skincare routine.
After that, she started the dermaplaning, with the scalpel. Since my skin was super dry and dehydrated she used these amazing organic products to hydrate my skin. Before she applied any products, she explained what they were for. The entire treatment took about an hour and from the start to finish, it left my skin incredibly soft and smooth. When I saw myself in the mirror I could instantly see my skin looked smoother, fewer lines and more radiant. I saw the difference in my skin, how silky it felt and the beautiful glow it had.

Click on the video, It will demonstrate the Dermaplaning procedure. A non-invasive exfoliated procedure with gentle strokes that removes dead skin and peach fuzz with a scalpel.
Dermaplaning is recommended for all skin types except those with acne skin. I highly recommend this treatment. However, consistency is very important in your daily skincare routine. You will be surprised the amount of dead skin and dirt the esthetician eliminates when doing this treatment. I’m guilty of neglecting my skincare routine, and after this treatment, I was able to see the difference. It’s very important to always wear SPF because you don’t realize how much the sun can damage your skin. I purchased their organic skincare products and after I’m very happy.
Have you ever tried Dermaplaning? If you have what do you think? Would you go for more Dermaplaning?
Let me know if this is something you love, or if you’re willing to try it in the comments below!

I Purchased the skincare products, Facial Cleanser, Toner, Moisturizer, Pore Detoxifying, and Super Food for the skin. I’m extremely happy with these products and they leave my skin smooth and soft. I will be going back for more Dermaplaning and I highly recommend. Make sure, when searching for a spot that offers Dermaplaning, read the reviews and the place is clean.

I never knew there was a name for this! I also noticed the peach fuzz on my chin and neck after having my second baby. The procedure sounds scary though, scalpel. After how did the hair grown in? Or did it not come back?
trust me is not scary. I thought the same but is not. This is why you have to make sure you do to an actual SPA with licenses Esthetician. It takes a few weeks for the peachfuzz to grow back, and It doesn’t grow back thicker how some people say. It’s an amazing procedure and you will see the difference in your skin.
I also have peach fuzz as an issue and figured I’d just have to live with it. Thanks such more for explaining what dermaplaning is and detailing the process. This is something I’m going to look into further!
Yes, believe me, you won’t regret it once you do it. As I stated make sure you do your research in finding a place, read the reviews. Once you get this done you will see how your skin will look and feel.
I have been dermaplanning for about 2 years. The exfoliation that it provides is amazing
Yes it’s amazing. I will be going for more.
That peach fuzz can get so annoying! I’ve heard about dermaplaning from my daughter! She’s very into skin. I never knew there were so many benefits!
It’s the best. I didn’t know either until I tried it, and I’m very happy with the outcome.
Thanks for the great info! Dermaplaning is something that really peaks my interest! I’d like to try it!

I’ve heard of this before but would love to see a before and after! Many people swear by it.
I uploaded a video.
I am scared of this, always think my face is going to be scraped off and I wouldn’t have any skin anymore. Tempting to do it though.
Don’t be scared, trust me I was the same and once I tried it I was amazed how my skin looked and felt. I uploaded a video check video out so you can have an idea and see that it’s non-invasive.
I’ve never tried this but not I will. Thanks for the information.
You welcome.
Wow never heard of this. Sounds a little scary especially since I have super dry skin, but the benefits are worth it. May give this a try
At first, It sounds scary, and Believe me I can relate to dry skin. But with the products used to hydrate your skin, you will see the difference.
I LOVE dermaplaning, but wish that it didn’t irritate my skin so much. I seriously love that it gets rid of the dead skin and all of my peach fuzz. Maybe I’ll try again down the line!
Oh wow that sucks, sorry to hear that….. maybe was the products they used on your skin. Some places can carry the best skin care products but might not be suitable for your skin. Hopefully when you try it again it won’t irritate your skin.
I had one treatment, to try it and see if it’s something I will try down the line and I will definitively will. I made an appointment to have dermaplaning every 6 weeks. No, it’s doesn’t have to be done in series like microdermabrasion.
Dermaplaning is not as same as other skin cosmetic treatment, as it is more revival of your skin by removing dead layers of skin cells and exfoliating them medicinal oil and improving blood circulation by soft massaging. It even consists cleaning of skin pores and removal of unwanted hair.
