As a single gal or mom on Valentine’s day, it can bring out all sorts of feelings. It’s normal to dread Valentine’s Day as a single gal because most likely it’s going to SUCK! No matter how much to try to avoid it is hard as it commercialized all over your face. So What if you’re single on Valentine’s Day! Some people absolutely LOVE and stress Valentine’s Day while others don’t care or don’t think about it. Don’t be sad, angry, lonely, or all three because you are single, embrace your singleness. If you are single and trying to figure out what to do on the cute special day, I compiled a list of 10 things to do on Valentine’s Day if you’re single.
When I was single, I’ve spent many Valentine’s Day, alone without a boyfriend and I loved it. I either went to have some cocktails with my best friend or stayed home and I enjoyed it. Even now being married, I’ve spent some Valentine’s days alone, because we’re either both working or he was deployed. Personally, I hate going out on the actual Valentine’s Day, because is so chaotic. I’m not a fan of Valentine’s day, nor I’m a love grinch but I rather enjoy a nice day at home with my son and husband. I do special treats for my son on Valentine’s Day.
Ladies, have a date with yourself and shower your sexy self with love. Don’t make this day “SAD”-Single Awareness Day. Just because you don’t have a significant other to celebrate, doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy Valentine’s Day.
*During the COVID-19 pandemic while many states have restrictions, please practice social distance and necessary safety precautions.
Male this night a “Galentine ” with your girlfriends, you might have a friend or two that are “SINGLE”, and girl, there’s nothing wrong with being single. Make dinner reservations and enjoy a night out in the town and share the love of friendship over some cosmopolitan cocktails. I’m sure your night will be funny and memorable. You can check out OpenTable and make dinner reservation.
If you been thinking about changing your hair color or getting a cut, boo go for it. Do that makeover, don’t be afraid to do it. If hair and makeup is not your thing and you want to just relax, go to a spa and make it your day to pamper yourself. THIS IS YOUR DAY to shower yourself with LOVE. Treat yourself to a Beauty & Spas day.

Why not treat yourself, to some retail therapy. Retail Therapy is always a hit and if you are planning on having a girl’s night out why not shop for an outfit. Shop for some new bras or even comfy loungewear you have been eyeing. You can check out cute affordable clothes here.
If going out is not your thing, no worries you can stay in and make it a chick flick night. Invite your friends and have a girl’s movie night. Get your wine ready, chocolates and some comfy pajamas. Make it a Sex and the City movie marathon or any funny chick flick movies you love on Netflix, Amazon Prime or Hulu. However, if you don’t feel like having any company over, that’s fine make it a solo movie night. It will be just you and your comforter.
Sometimes after a long day, we need some unwinding to do especially on Valentine’s Day. Now is the time to crack open that Spa Gift Set Set that’s been sitting on your shelf and put it to use. Set the bathtub with a bath pillow, and throw in some bath bombs for a relaxing bubble bath, . Few scented candles and a glass of wine will set the mood to soak in the bathtub with bubbles and just relax.
If going out on valentines day is just not your thing, and you have any friends or relative with kids that absolutely want to go out, why not volunteer to babysit? Believe me, you will make their day, if they can’t afford a sitter, they will appreciate it because sometimes parents do need that time to go out.
Don’t wait until spring to so dome spring cleaning. Clean & organize your apartment or house. Tidy up the place and throw out things you just keep piling up and shred papers you no longer need. Change curtains, sheets and move furniture around. Give your home an extreme makeover.
We have gotten so involved in the modern technology that I know some of us haven’t picked up a book. Grab that book you been wanting to read and just sit in your couch with a glass of wine and read.
If you could afford to go away, then book a last minute trip. If you can’t afford to go away, check out winery not too far from you and spend your valentine’s day tasting wine.
Don’t be too hard on yourself as to why you haven’t found the perfect man. First, “There’s no such thing as a perfect man”. As modern women are in today society we need to take our time and explore what’s out there. I have to say there are some characters out there. As a woman looking for love, you have to be careful and not put your heart out there to every man that you meet. Enjoy being single and embrace every moment you can. When the time is right, you will see God will put that man in your path and you will know that is meant to be.
Enjoy and have fun.
How did you spend your Valentine’s Day being single? What things did you do on the special V-day? let me know I would love to hear all about it.

Yes always important a girls night out.. I know how hard it is to go out when you have young kids. I use to have my friends come over and we had girls night. I had a set bed time for my son and by 7:30pm he was already sleeping… while my friends were over my house.
When I was single I used to make dinner for a group of other single gal pals and abnoxious amounts of champagne 🤣
Hubs and I just go out for dinner. I’ve never been a mushy valentines type gal.
These tips are great! Single peeps, just remember, valentines is a made up holiday and you’re not missing anything. When you and your life mate meet, everyday will be valentines😘❤️
Yes sooooo true. Trust me I’m not a valentines day fan either, and I enjoy a nice quiet dinner at home with some wine, the hubby and little man .. Thank you for your reply love it…
